Super Bowl 50
GCL created four interactive experiences that allowed users to see the NFL in a whole new light
Four Unique Fan Experiences
At Super Bowl 50, Gen City Labs created four interactive fan experiences so visitors could engage with NFL history, design, and identity in new ways. These included the Super Bowl Rings display, Ticket Configurator, Hall of Fame Display, and Hall of Fame Bust station.
Super Bowl Rings & Tickets
The Super Bowl Rings display let fans browse 49 championship rings via a touch app, offering a close-up look at their favorite team’s achievements. Meanwhile, the Ticket Configurator enabled visitors to customize and share keepsakes using historic Super Bowl ticket artwork. For another ticket-focused project, see our Warriors Ticket Configurator.
Hall of Fame Tribute
Gen City Labs also built touch-enabled transparent LCD displays to showcase Hall of Fame memorabilia. In addition, the Hall of Fame Bust experience captured fans with a depth camera in a seat, then rendered their 3D likeness into a bronzed statue — celebrating each visitor as though they were enshrined.
Impact for Fans & the NFL
Together, these activations delivered “wow” moments that turned fans into participants rather than spectators. Because visitors could explore NFL history, customize keepsakes, and even see themselves as part of the Hall of Fame, engagement reached new highs. Finally, the NFL solidified its brand by merging history with technology. For another multi-touchpoint fan hub, explore our NFL Join the Huddle Tour.
