For the annual Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) held in Las Vegas, Gen City Labs was tasked to create an interactive VR experience to rev up attendees. Upon strapping on the headset, guests found themselves in an auto repair garage decorated with event sponsor’s posters. To start the experience, guests learned how to use the controllers by customizing their car with colors and graphics. Then it was on to the ‘challenge’. Guests were given various car parts which they had to correctly place on the car as the clock counted down. After the experience ended, guests could view their score on an external leaderboard seen by everyone. Additionally, they received a digital takeaway featuring their customized car and final score which they could share directly to social media.
